Flash Media, Compact Flash and Memory Sticks

The storage of data on Flash media is similar in structure to a normal hard drive in that it contains a Master Boot Record, a boot sector, a File Allocation Table, and the data itself. Consequently Flash media can experience some of the problems that hard drives experience: Corrupt File Allocation Tables, file corruptions, bad sectors. Additionally, Flash memory has inherent problems of its own e.g. Cameras trying to write past the end of the media, difficulty switching between FAT-12 and FAT-16, and not recognising data directories.

We are able to help you get your data back – whether it’s your holiday photographs, an important office report, or a university assignment. Please Contact Us for further details. If sending you media to us, please note we do not require the camera.
