Recovery Process
Online Quotation
We ask all our customers to complete an Online Quotation. This allows us to give context to your data loss. It also helps us allocate time to give to your media. Alternatively call us if you prefer to discuss your requirements.

Send Media
If sending the media, please follow our sending media instructions. You are welcome to deliver it yourself to our premises. Special arrangements can also be made for us to come to you should the circumstances require it.

Analysis
Once we receive your media, an assessment will be made to determine the cause of failure be it logical, electrical or mechanical.
Logical failure occurs when the logical data structure becomes corrupted.
Electronic failure could be a component of the circuit board.
Mechanical failure occurs when a drive's servo-mechanism fails or one of the heads crash.
At this point we are able to make an assessment as to the possibility and/or cost of recovery. In the event that recovery cannot be performed, you will only be charged the quotation fee outlined in the pricing information. We will proceed with the recovery process only with your authorisation.

Recovery
After the analysis, and the media is deemed recoverable, a forensic image (replica) of the data is made to another form of media. From this media the data is tested for accessibility and any further logical repairs are made if required.

Once our testing is complete, the data is ready for recovery.

Return
We return the recovered files to the customer on their required media, usually CD, DVD or another hard drive by post or pick-up. Payment is required prior to the release of recovered data/hardware.
